Participants should arrive at Dunedin Airport. It is a 30 minute drive from the airport to the Dunedin Holiday Park, and a 30 minute drive in the same direction from there to the Portobello Marine Laboratory. Two 12-person vans have been reserved to ferry people to and from the lab at the beginning and end of each workday. If you are likely to travel back and forth outside these times, we advise renting your own car. Those not staying at Dunedin Holiday Park can still catch the shuttles from Dunedin Holiday Park, or arrange their own transportation to and from Portobello.
Depending on guests' arrival and departure times, our 12-person vans may be available to take people to and from the airport.
The airport has partnered with several shuttle buses which are available but must be booked in advance.
Rideshare options around Dunedin are plentiful.
Several car rental companies are available at Dunedin airport. International licenses are permitted, but must be accompanied by an English translation if necessary. International driving permits in English are accepted but must be presented with the original license.
