Bäckaskog Castle boasts a variety of accommodation options. As part of registration for the conference, attendees will be asked to nominate their room preferences. We will do our best to assign you your fist choice. Please click on the room location to view a description of each option.

If you find accommodation outside the castle (there are a very few AirBnB’s available) and would like to attend the conference outside the 120 spaces we have at the castle, please contact the organizers to make those arrangements. Meals will still be taken at the castle in these rare cases to allow you to fully participate.

The Gatehouse, has 5 double rooms with shared bathroom facilities. The Gatehouse is an old wooden building in the classic Swedish style.

Originally used to forge weapons, this small house stands close to Karl XV's tavern and Lake Oppmanna. The rooms are charming and original with iron-poster beds as an interesting detail. Views include the gardens and the lake. However, due to its small size, the bathroom facilities are shared. The rooms are medium sized.

The middle floor of the Castle consists of various magnificent State Rooms which appear much as they did at the time of Karl XV. All rooms are located on the upper floor and are large with expansive views over the gardens.
No elevator access is available to Castle rooms

The Inn has seven double rooms and a large joint living room. It´s situated in the park, close to lake, about 400 metres from the Castle.

Klostergården (the Old Monastery) is situated in the court yard, close to the Castle.
The rooms are quite close to the original kitchen and are either on the ground floor or the first floor, with views to the inner courtyard or to surrounding the gardens and pastures.
